Attorney Hyojin Jeon of Sunwoon Law Firm delivered a lecture at the “2025 Career Special Lecture” hosted by the School of Law, Gyeongsang National University, held on May 28, 2025, at the mock courtroom of the Daegyeong Hall of the College of Law. The lecture was presented under the theme of “Methodologies for Passing the Civil Service Examination Quickly.”
This career special lecture was designed as part of Sunwoon’s ESG activities, aligning with the firm’s values of fulfilling social responsibility and fostering sustainable talent. In particular, it aimed to contribute to society through education by sharing practical study methodologies for more effective preparation for civil service examinations, a career path of high interest to many students aspiring to enter public service.
1. Study Methods for Public Service Careers Drawn from Practical Experience
The special lecture was attended by Professor Junyoung Park, Dean of the School of Law, Attorney Hyojin Jeon of Sunwoon, and approximately 70 students of the School of Law.
Attorney Jeon, who passed the bar examination and has taught constitutional law and administrative law, key subjects for civil service exams, for more than ten years, focused the lecture on essential topics for actual examinees. These included strategies for short-term success, establishing study rhythms, and cultivating the right mindset throughout the preparation process. By sharing concrete study methods accumulated in real test preparation settings, rather than remaining at the level of theory, Jeon provided practical guidance to students preparing for public service careers.
Law students who attended showed strong interest and enthusiasm, submitting questions in advance and actively engaging in Q&A during the lecture.
2. Sunwoon’s Growth and Vision in Leading ESG Management
Sunwoon Law Firm was founded in 2023 by attorneys with more than ten years of public service experience at institutions such as the Korea Fair Trade Commission and the Korea Fair Trade Mediation Agency. In 2025, the firm expanded by opening a branch office in Gangnam, Seoul, thereby providing nationwide legal services and continuing steady growth.
Following the “Law Firm Experience Program” held with Gyeongsang National University in November 2024, Sunwoon strengthened its cooperation with law students and the local community through a memorandum of understanding in January 2025. This special lecture represented another meaningful educational program that bridges legal education with practice, actively demonstrating Sunwoon’s commitment to ESG management.
3. Connecting the Future of Law with the Local Community
