Attorney Tae-woon Yoon participated as an expert panelist in the “2025 2nd Joint Symposium of the College of Law and the Institute of Legal Studies,” hosted by the College of Law and the Institute of Legal Studies at Gyeongsang National University, on May 16, 2025.
The symposium, held under the theme of “Legal Issues for the Development of the Gyeongnam Region,” was organized to discuss improvements to legal systems and directions for restructuring the legal environment in the Gyeongnam area.
In Part I, under the theme of “The Legal Education System for Nurturing Legal Professionals in the Gyeongnam Region,” academic presentations and in-depth discussions were held on the introduction of a law school in the region, an issue that has recently drawn significant attention. In Part II, under the theme of “Legal Issues in the Gyeongnam Region,” an expert roundtable discussion addressed various legal topics, including the direction of legal education, preventive legal services, new town development, the regional franchise industry, and space law and policy.
As a panelist in the Part II roundtable, Attorney Yoon emphasized the importance of the franchise industry reflecting the unique characteristics of the region. He further stated that it is necessary for Gyeongsangnam-do Province to actively utilize its newly expanded authority to register franchise disclosure documents, a function recently delegated to local governments.
